Mills and river

Belper North Mill and the River Gardens beside the Derwent are part of the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site. Honey-coloured stone, old iron and the weir make a textured setting that feels very different from a typical country house wedding.

Woods, hills and the Chevin

The wooded hills around Belper and Duffield give you big views over the valley and quiet paths that never feel crowded. A short walk with your partner while the guests are having a drink is often all you need for photos that look like they were taken somewhere special.

Heritage close by

Nearby, Crich Tramway Village and the railways around Ripley appeal to couples who want something playful and a little retro. If your venue has a vintage feel, I will use it rather than fight it.
