Wedding photographer at The Sitwell Arms, Retford
I have photographed weddings at The Sitwell Arms in Retford, Nottinghamshire, and it is a lovely place to spend a wedding day with the people you love.
Tyler and Bruna’s day there was calm and romantic: a ceremony with a lace veil and a room full of family, then a gentle walk around the garden and down to the water for portraits. Nothing was rushed, and the photos feel the way the day did.
Because the grounds are close to hand, you can slip away for a few minutes without losing track of your guests. A short walk and a quiet moment together is usually all it takes, and I keep the group photos brief so you get back to the party.
If you are getting married here, I would plan your portraits around the garden and the water, and leave a little room in the timeline for the moments in between, like the speeches, the first dance and everyone laughing.
